In order to offer the necessary post-operative assistance and explain the daily care
of a tracheostomy we have assembled a Basic Equipment Set containing the most
important help-aids. During your hospital stay you should be provided with these
necessary items. Basic instruction and subsequent follow-up care are provided by
our experienced rehabilitation advisers in association with the federal society for
those without larynx (Bundesverband der Kehlkopflosen).

You can thus acquaint yourself with the use of the help-aids when in hospital and
accustom yourself to the hygiene requirements.  In this way you become self-assured
as regards the necessary use of the help-aids and use these comfortably at home
afterwards. We supply you with the basic equipment in the hospital, complete and
functionally packed in a case.  Tracheal cannulae are not included, as these must
be selected by the doctor for each patient individually.
