Tracheal cannulae stabilise the opening in the throat (tracheostomy) and are available in different sizes and presentations. Generally, the doctor will select and fit a suitable cannula for each patient individually. We produce cannulae in sterling silver, HEIMOLIT and silicone and can, upon request, also supply cannulae made from other materials such as titanium and Teflon.
The know-how and experience of HEIMOMED are in evidence not only in our range of basic items but also in the correct selection and arrangement of accessories. Our objective is to make the use of help-aids as easy and safe as possible and keep them hygienic and serviceable for as long as possible using suitable means.
In composing your programme of accessories HEIMOMED has also placed great emphasis on the subject of ‘safety’. We therefore offer, among other items, cannula fixation straps, which are comfortable to wear but nevertheless ensure secure positioning of the cannula in the tracheostomy. Similarly, due to their high absorption, our tracheal dressings keep the
skin surrounding the tracheostomy dry.
